If you’re a seasonal worker coming for work such as picking fruit, you’ll be covered by a seasonal worker visa.

Eligibility

You must be over the age of 18 when you apply, have a certificate of sponsorship and enough money to support yourself.

Costs and Maintenance

When you arrive, you’ll need at least £1,270 to support yourself. You will generally have to prove you have this. Alternatively, your sponsor may be willing to support you, in which case they will have to complete the relevant section on the certificate of sponsorship.

How long can you stay?

You can remain in the UK for up to six months and enter up to 14 days before the start date of your job. This is a more limited visa than others. You cannot take a second job, bring family with you, take a permanent job or access public funds.
